Before I got started in mass torts, I had no prior experience and consulted with a lot of attorneys who were knowledgeable in mass torts, who sat on committees, who had invested tens of millions of dollars to get into mass torts. I also attended mass tort conventions for a few years. I wanted a way of diversifying my practice in case autonomous cars ever became a real threat, but I also wanted to get into mass torts that were safe.
I have spoken on many attorney podcasts and spoken at attorney conventions and have met a lot of attorneys in various areas of law. Some of them were dying to get into something else. Uber was eliminating DUIs, robots and apps were also eliminating their business as people could now file divorce or fix their DUIs with the touch of a button, coronavirus was causing less people to be on the roads which leads to less personal injury accidents. Also people were becoming burned out on contentious family law or chasing after unpaid invoices.
I felt that this course would assist a lot of attorneys and also teach them another way of earning a living.
